Why Should You ‘Actually’ Lose Weight?

I really wanted to lose weight, but I had the real reason hidden as to why.

My weight loss journey started after seeing the Instagram crowd looking gorgeous through the dress and jeans they wear.

While this all could be fake behind the camera lens, it still did make a huge impact on you.

I tried everything from diets to eating less and then finally caving in one fine day. I realized over time that the real reason why I wanted to lose weight is to look like others.

This was one of the major reasons why I never dropped any pounds.

As I continued to cry with my favourite chocolate in hand, I realized that I’m overweight because I had the worst eating habits. It slowly pounded on me that I hardly workout and all I really do is complain and then eat some more.

I had a different approach to why I wanted to lose weight for the first time. I realized that being skinny will only make me weak, instead, why can’t I be thick and healthy at the same time?

We are all grown up with the notion that skinny is good and fat is ugly. In this ideology, we started to lose weight cause we wanted to look good.

But what about feeling good?

When I started on my weight loss journey, I realised that while I was happy that my weight was dropping, the inner feeling in me was much better. I was less moody, was much better.

If you’re reading this, know that you’re beautiful no matter what shape you are in. If you want to lose weight do it so that you stay healthy, to be stronger, to feel good from within.

So, when are you planning to get started?
