I am an introvert and I’m well aware of the struggle associated with it.

When I am in a room full of people, there is a strong tingling feeling inside me. I just want to move away or find a space where no one will try to initiate a conversation with me.

While I try to find a corner to hide, there is always that one annoying human who decides, ‘It’s time to introduce my stressful friend’.

With the panic, gaze, and being the center of attention, I will always be in a dilemma to either kill my beautiful friend or run away like Pheobe Buffay in the park( Friends series reference).

But having been an introvert for almost half of my life, there are certain situations where I’ve found my escape. So from one introvert struggler to another, try these tips to survive a room full of crowded humans:

#Tip 1:

Always find a corner to sit in. It could be outside or somewhere in the house. Have a glass with you and just smile. If someone approaches you, hear their story. Ask them questions that will push the conversation for long. Like this, you’ll be occupied and will not have to talk.

#Tip 2:

When you’re really uncomfortable and don’t feel like mingling or speaking to anyone, use your phone. Inform your friends to call you at a particular time and excuse yourself.

#Tip 3:

Pretend you are sick. Say you have a headache. This is perfect as everyone would give you the time to rest and be fine.

#Tip 4:

Leave early. Say you have a meeting or need to be with the fam home and leave soon from the party.

Being an introvert isn’t easy. The emotions and feelings experienced will make anyone weak. Try to understand introverts better and not push it away as they have an attitude or don’t like engaging.
